What model router do you include?

All of our service include a Technicolor TG588v2 as standard. We also offer upgrade options to Draytek or Cisco routers. You can find more information on our range of broadband routers here.

What is a static IP address?

Every device on the internet has an IP (Internet Protocol) address assigned to it. This is used like a telephone number for yourcomputer, it allows other devices on the internet to contact it and send data.

Broadband services will normally assign a dynamic IP address when you connect – this means that your IP address will change from time to time and may also be used by others. A static IP address is reserved for you and will always remain the same. This can improve security by allowing you to lock down access to your cloud services and enables you to run services such as a VPN or email server in your office.

Can I switch my broadband service from Virgin Media?

If you currently have a broadband service from Virgin Media we’ll need to install a new phone line to provide you with broadband. You will be able to keep your Virgin Media landline number.

Can I keep my current phone number?

Yes, we can switch your phone number from most UK landline providers. You can use our availability checker to see if we can import your number.

Can I use your broadband with a phone line from another provider?

Yes, you can use a phone line from another provider. You will have the option to select this as part of the order process.

Do I need a phone line?

Yes, you need a phone line for us to provide you with a broadband connection. All of our packages include line rental as standard.
